The Saffron Crocus is the source of Saffron, the most expensive spice in the world. Saffron has been cultivated for over 3000 years and highly prized for its cullinary and medicinal uses. The saffron crocus is best grown in a well drained soil that is kept moist for the flowering period in autumn but drier during the summer dormancy. Plant up to 15cm deep for the best spice production in full sun. Can be successfully grown in a pot provided it doesn’t stay too wet in summer.

These are actively growing plants in 100mm pots. Each pot has multiple shoots.
