Penstemon ‘Huskers Red’ is a beautiful herbaceous perennial with glossy burgundy leaves. In warmer months it produces upright spires of deep burgundy with bright white flowers. It is the similarity of these spires to that of a foxglove that gives this plant its common name. While the flowers are nice, the foliage is the real feature of this plant. It can grow in full sun to part shade and can tolerate dry conditions.
