This large scale feature piece is a reproduction from the original hand-coloured engraved plates edited by Johann Jacob Haid and Johann Elias Haid with drawings by Georg Dionysius Ehret. The artwork is titled "Cereus" and originally published in 1750 by Christoph Jakob Trew as part of the book "Plantae Selectae". The artwork has been printed on a fade-resistant, heavy-duty synthetic canvas, with its brilliant colours and accurate detail carefully restored. Hand-mounted with aged timber batons and 100% hemp rope. Each artwork comes rolled and ready to hang, individually wrapped in a protective cotton sock and sturdy cardboard box - perfect for shipping and storing.
