Geranium sanguineum 'Vision Violet'

A species geranium from Europe and west Asia, which is the most widely adapted of all species geraniums. A mat-forming perennial with divided/lobed deep-green leaves that turn bright red in Autumn. Happy in a dry and well-drained soil, but needs supplementary water in hot dry summers. Flowers from late Spring to Autumn.
