Cephalaria gigantea - Giant Pincushion

This is a tall perennial, ideal for the back of a border. It grows 2m tall. The foliage is divided and forms a neat mound, which in Summer is topped with primrose-yellow scabiosa-like flower heads. Originating from the Caucus mountains in Turkey, this one is drought tolerant once established.
