Society Garlic is a very attractive clump forming perennial with leaves resembling garlic chives. During the warmer months, heads of bright pink flowers are held 30cm above the foliage. This is a very tough plant originating in South Africa it is full frost tolerant and needs very little water. When crushed the leaves smell like garlic, but it is not a true garlic plant. The flowers are now being used as a garnish in the very flashest restaurants.
