Buddleja lindleyana - Weeping Butterfly Bush

A rarely grow Buddleja from China that deserves far more recognition. Flowering starts in late Spring continues late into the Summer. The purple flowers are held in long, pendulous racemes that progressively open and can reach 30cm long! This buddleja forms an arching shrub 1.8m tall. It can produce runners so is perfect for an informal hedge. While it is fairly drought tolerant, it needs some water in hot summers.
