Allium hollandicum - Persian Onion

A highly prized ornamental allium grown for its large spherical soft lavender pink flower heads which are held 130cm above the ground on straight stems. Also called the Persian Onion, this is best planted amongst other perennials as the flower heads are produced when the foliage starts to die down. Originally from Iran and Kyrgystan and prefers a well drained soil with adequate moisture.
