Easy to grow annual with slender stems that catch the breeze and show off their multitude of silky little crimson red blooms to great effect. One of the hardiest annuals to grow, flax requires little in the way of maintenance and is drought tolerant. Ideal for well-drained soils or pots, it is also lovely sown in long drifts in a sunny border.
