Salvia leucantha - Deep Purple Velour Sage

This is a beautiful all purple form of Salvia leucantha with a very intensely dark flower. Absolutely spectacular when mass planted. Very tough, needing little water in Summer. In mild climates this plant is evergreen, but in cold areas the foliage is burnt off by heavy frost, but the crown re-shoots in spring. If in a frosty area, spring or summer planting is recommended.
