Tulip Palmyra

Double blooms in a highly sought after deep burgundy colour. Makes an excellent cut flower. Perfect for elegant displays in pots and garden beds. Complement with other tulip colours like pinks and whites. Double tulips slowly unravel layers of delicate petals making their blooms gorgeous and long lasting.

Tulips are originally from Turkey and Iran and found their second home in Holland during the last years of the 16th century. Grow them in a well prepared, good draining soil or, if growing in pots, choose a good quality potting mix. Bulbs can be lifted and stored in a cool place for replanting next season. Best treated as an annual in warmer climates.

In our climate, tulips are best treated as annuals although in cooler areas they can be lifted and stored in a cool place for replanting next season. 

TIP: To promote stronger flowers, chill the bulbs in the refrigerator for 6 weeks prior to planting.
